Meet the Founder


Cat mom to McCartney, Harrison, Lennon, and Ringo, and founder of Cosmicos Pet Bakery.
Cosmicos started with a dream I’ve had since I was a kid growing up in Mexico City: to one day open something special for pets. I was always surrounded by animals (honestly, too many at times), and I’ve always loved cooking, baking, creating, and celebrating the little things.
But for years, I followed a more traditional path.
I moved to Chicago to chase a culinary career and ended up working in some of the city’s top Michelin-starred restaurants.
Then 2020 hit. The world slowed down, and so did I. Like so many others, I was laid off during the pandemic, and while it was tough, it also gave me space to finally ask: What do I actually want to build?
The answer came quickly,I wanted to pour my energy into something that brought me joy. Something that combined my love for animals and my culinary background,with the colors and creativity that reflect my essence.
But not just any treats,these were small-batch, handmade snacks using the same kind of high-quality ingredients I used in restaurants. No weird additives. No mystery preservatives. Just clean, simple ingredients you can recognizeand feel good about giving to your pets. I started with my own cats (they’re still the official taste-testers), and the rest just clicked.

Today, Cosmicos is a small but mighty bakery dedicated to creating fun, beautiful, and nourishing treats for pets.
Every recipe is made with love, every design is full of personality,and every product reflects what I care about most: quality, joy, and celebrating the pets we adore.
